The race to get the Congress ticket in the Haryana elections has intensified. Senior party leaders Avtar Bhadana, Lakhan Singla and young face Sanchit Kohli are in fierce competition. Party workers believe that this may be the best chance to contest on a Congress ticket and reach the Assembly.

The competition has become more exciting in Faridabad, adjacent to Delhi, where Sanchit Kohli is giving direct competition to young Punjabi faces Avtar Singh Bhadana and Lakhan Singla. Sanchit, who is considered close to the Hooda family, hopes to get the ticket this time.

While Avtar Bhadana has recently lost the Lok Sabha elections and Lakhan Singla has been losing in the last three elections making his candidature look weak. Sanchit Kohli, who hails from the Punjabi community, has emerged as an important vote bank in Faridabad. According to sources, Sanchit has the support of Dipendra Singh Hooda of the Hooda family, which has further strengthened his position in the party.

Sanchit Kohli is not only a politician but also a dedicated social activist. He distributed safety kits and provided food to poor families during the Covid-19 pandemic, proving his dedication to his community. Apart from this, Kohli also helps local old age homes, schools for the blind and organizations like Matrichaya and Udan.

Kohli dreams of making Faridabad a ‘smart city’. His main goals are to improve the public education system, revive the industrial sector and strengthen law and order. He wants to focus on improving government schools, increasing employment opportunities in the industrial sector and improving the police system.

Early life and education

Born and brought up in Faridabad, Sanchit Kohli was educated at GD Goenka School, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and then an LLB from Amity University. His education gives him a balanced approach to face political and social challenges.

Kohli is committed to promoting religious harmony and communal unity in Faridabad. His participation in religious events among different communities reflects his belief in cultural diversity and social harmony.
