A supplementary budget was presented in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly
Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented the Supplementary Budget in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly today. This supplementary budget of the Yogi government has focused on industrial development, transport and education. Apart from this, the government has opened treasury for Energy Department, Culture Department and Employment Mission.
In the supplementary budget of 12909 crore 93 lakh rupees, the revenue account expenditure is 4 thousand 227.94 crore rupees and the capital account expenditure is 7,981.99 crore rupees. The size of the proposed supplementary budget is 1.66% of this year’s original budget.
How much will industrial development cost?
For industrial development in the budget Rs. 7500.18 crore has been proposed. Apart from this, for the Energy Department, Rs. 2000 crore and for transport department Rs. 1000 crore is proposed. At the same time, the Urban Development Department (to support Amrut Yojana) will receive Rs. 600 crore has been proposed.
In UP, for skill development of youth Rs. 200 crore, for Rural Stadium Open Gym Rs. 100 crore, for Secondary Education Department Rs. 28.40 crore and for ICT labs in 1040 government secondary schools Rs. 66.82 crore is proposed. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna has announced a budget of Rs 74.90 crore for the Culture Department, Rs 53.15 crore for the establishment of Atal Residential School, Rs 49.80 crore for the Employment Mission and Rs 3.25 crore for renovation of the data center at the Assembly Secretariat. .
Monsoon session will last till August 2
The monsoon session of the Legislative Assembly in UP is starting from July 29 and will continue till August 2. Responding to the opposition leaders in the House, CM Yogi said that the crime graph has come down significantly in 2024 as compared to 2016. Dowry cases decreased by 17.5% and domestic violence cases by 25.03%. Police have punished 24402 people in sex crime cases.
