How Special Is The Bidkin Industrial Zone Built In Maharashtra? Companies Like Ather Energy And Toyota Are Investing

The Modi government is working quickly to promote domestic manufacturing. The government is trying to generate more and more employment through this initiative. This is the reason why Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Bidkin Industrial Area (BIA) built in Maharashtra to the nation. Bidkin Industrial Area is a project spread over 7,855 acres. It has been developed under the National Industrial Corridor Development Program (NICDP) as part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that this industrial hub located 20 kilometers south of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in Maharashtra has immense potential to accelerate economic growth in the Marathwada region. The Central Government has approved this project with a total cost of Rs 6,414 crore, which will be carried out in three phases. Phase A, covering 2,511 acres, has been prioritized with an investment of Rs 2,427 crore, he said.

Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL), a special purpose unit (SPV) formed in the ratio of 51:49 between Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT), has taken forward the project. According to the statement, the Bidkin industrial area is now equipped with wide roads, quality water and electricity supply and advanced sewage and common waste treatment plants.

He said that many large investors have already shown interest in Bitcoin. Among them, prominent companies like Ather Energy (100 acres), Lubrizol (120 acres), Toyota-Kirloskar (MoU for 850 acres) and JSW Green Mobility (500 acres) have committed to invest in this area. The ministry said there will be a total investment of Rs 56.2 billion in these four projects, in which more than 30,000 people will get employment. In just three years since its construction, a total of 1,822 acres (38 parcels) have been allocated to industrial and mixed-use areas.
