The fraudsters in the country have grown so bold that they have not even spared the Chief Justice of India. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, CJI DY Chandrachud has spoken to the police and asked to take action. This is perhaps the first case where the name of a person occupying the highest position in the judicial system of the country has been used for this kind of fraud. The Supreme Court administration has filed a complaint in this matter.
According to reports, the whole matter came to light on Tuesday when a post on social media started going viral. This post shows a picture of the Chief Justice of India. In this post, the fraudster using the Chief Justice’s name wrote, ‘Hello, I am CJI, I have an urgent meeting at the collegium. I’m stuck in Connaught Place.
Not only this, the fraudsters also wrote in the name of the CJI, ‘Can you send Rs 500 for a cab?’ I will return it after reaching the court. In no time this post is going viral on social media. After the entire matter came to light, the Supreme Court administration immediately became active and reported the entire matter to the police and demanded strict action against the accused.
The cyber police started a search
Based on the complaint received from the Supreme Court, the Cyber Police has started an investigation into the entire matter. The police are currently busy tracking down the crooks. In the last few months, cyber fraud has reached its peak in the country. After the advent of AI tools, new methods of cybercrime are emerging. About a month ago, a case of this kind of fraud with a judge also came to light in Delhi’s Rohini court.
