The rules related to the stock market are going to change. One of them is that the STT in F&O trading will increase. STT will now be 0.02%, which was previously 0.0125%. A separate tax of 0.1% will be applied to options trading. Not only this, even if you buy back shares, the shareholders will have to pay taxes. This didn’t happen before.
Government prepares to tax bonds
Not only this, the government has also decided to make major changes in the tax related to bonds. 10% TDS will have to be paid on central and state government bonds. Now instead of Aadhaar registration number, Aadhaar number will be used in PAN number. Starting next month, it will not be necessary to reveal the registration ID in the PAN allotment documents or while filing tax returns. The purpose of this decision is to put an end to the misuse and duplication of the PAN. Most importantly, the second phase of the Vivad Se Vishwas scheme will be implemented from tomorrow.
