Recruiting

It’s an easy sell for Notre Dame football when they are recruiting tight ends, TE U does reside in South Bend after all.

All a high school player has to do is look at the lineage of impressive former Irish stars who have made their mark on the NFL. The list includes Cole Kmet, Kyle Rudolph, Tyler Eifert and many others.

That obviously gets the attention of many prospects like 2026 Illinois star [autotag]JC Anderson[/autotag]. On Wednesday the 6-foot, 6-inch and 230-pounder narrowed his list down to ten schools: Oregon, Michigan, Auburn, Penn State, North Carolina, Florida State, Illinois, Texas, LSU and Notre Dame.

The battle will be intense for the nation’s No. 129 overall prospect and 5th best tight end according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The Irish will need to get Anderson onto campus, as he made a few unofficial visits this summer but did not make it to South Bend. Traditionally, Notre Dame has had a lot of success recruiting the state of Illinois, and hopefully that pipeline continues with Anderson.
