In March 2023, the dead body of a 6-year-old girl was found in Tiljala, Kolkata. It was alleged that the girl was sexually abused and murdered. This allegation has been made on Alok Kumar, the neighbor of the deceased girl. The court found him guilty on Wednesday. His sentence was announced on Thursday. It is being said that 45 people have testified in this incident.

Alok Kumar was convicted by the Special POCSO Court of Alipur on Wednesday. Allegations of kidnapping, rape and unusual sexual abuse were leveled against him.

The judge said the police had found evidence of all the charges, including 45 witnesses testifying against Alok Kumar. The judge also said, “The child was forcibly kept in the house for his sexual desires. The judge termed the entire incident as a brutal crime.
“You are a delivery boy,” the judge told the accused. You did not have the power to stop what you did to a helpless child, you committed inhuman cruelty, such a crime is rare.
