Incidents Like Rajendra Nagar In Deoband, Basements Filled With Rainwater; 2 True Brothers Died Due To Electric Shock

Rainwater filled the basement

Recently, several children were trapped in a coaching center in Delhi’s Old Rajendra Nagar due to flash floods in which three children died. Basements are in the news after this incident. Meanwhile, a tragic incident has come to light from UP’s Deoband, where two minor brothers died after being struck by lightning on Wednesday. The police have handed over the bodies of both the brothers to their families after post-mortem.

Rainwater collected in an illegal basement in Mohalla Badjiaulhak of Deoband. Here, 15-year-old Huzaif and 11-year-old Sufiyan died due to electric shock. According to the information received, a basement work is going on in Mohalla Badjiaulhak of Deoband city. The basement was filled with rain water. Pumps were being installed to pump out the water.

The children went to catch pigeons

Meanwhile, Sacha’s brothers, 15-year-old Huzef and 11-year-old Sufiyan, residents of Mohalla Badjiaul Haq, went in that direction to catch pigeons. There he was electrocuted and fell into the water. After a long time, residents of the area saw him and he was admitted to the city government hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The news of the death of the two younger brothers sent shockwaves throughout Deoband, including the families of the deceased. Furious local residents and family members demanded action against the basement owner. The police reached the spot, pacified the people and took possession of the bodies of the dead brothers and sent them for post-mortem.

Electric shock after touching an iron pillar

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain said that at 3 pm on Wednesday, Huzaif and Sufia, sons of Badjia Ulhaq resident Naushad Qureshi, were electrocuted after touching an iron pillar of an under-construction basement near the house. He stated that the two brothers went to the cellar to catch pigeons, but they accidentally touched an iron pole which was carrying current. The official said that the basement was filled with rain water. Locals somehow managed to get both the children out and took them to the primary health centre, where doctors declared both the children brought dead, Jain said. He said that the bodies of both the children have been handed over to the relatives after post-mortem. An investigation is currently underway.
