Indore: Car Parked On Roadside At Midnight, Miscreants Attacked, Army Officer Robbed… Woman Gang-raped.

Two army officers and their two female friends were threatened on Tuesday night in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore. Some miscreants fatally attacked these people. After which an army officer was taken hostage at gunpoint. A female friend who was with him dragged him into the forest. A woman was gang-raped there. At the same time, he told another army officer – go and bring 10 lakhs first, only then we will release your hostage friend. The army officer somehow avoided being seen by the public and informed his seniors about it. Immediately a police team was sent there. But by then it was too late. The accused escaped from there. However, the police have taken two suspects into custody.

According to a TOI report, the incident took place near the historic Jam Gate, 50 km from Indore. Additional SP Dwivedi said – six suspects have been identified, out of which two have been detained from the forest. Both army officers were injured in the mob attack. A female friend of the officers who was a victim of gang-rape is undergoing treatment at the hospital. The woman has been medically examined.

SP (Rural) Hithika Vasal said – Both the army men are undergoing Young Officers Course at Mahuni Infantry School. A lieutenant who was the victim of the attack has registered a case with the police. According to Lt. – All four of us reached Ahilya Gate near Jam Gate on Mahu-Mandaleshwar road on Tuesday night. Around 2.30 pm, my friend was in a car with his girlfriend when 6-7 people attacked him. I was on a nearby hill with my girlfriend at the time and came down after hearing a scream.

A ransom of 10 lakhs was demanded

The complaint further stated that – the assailants badly beat my friend who was sitting in the car and took him hostage. They took his friend to the forest. When I came down they beat me and my friend too. Told me to go and bring a ransom of 10 lakhs. Only then will your friend be released. On this pretext, I called my senior officers and informed about the incident. He immediately informed the police.

Gang rape confirmed

SP said – A large police force was sent to the spot, but by then the attackers had fled into the forest. The four were brought to the Mahu Civil Hospital at 6.30 am, where a medical examination confirmed that one of the women had been gang-raped. According to the doctor on duty, both the officers had injury marks on their bodies. He was also robbed. At present, the Burgonda police are looking for all the accused. All will be arrested soon.
