Is Akshay Kumar Remaking Nana Patekar’s ‘Tiranga’? The Truth Is Out

A remake of Nana Patekar’s ‘Tiranga’

The movie ‘Tiranga’ released in 1993 still resides in people’s hearts. Suddenly, Akshay Kumar came into discussion about this film. The news came out, which must have increased the curiosity of Akshay Kumar fans. It was said that Narendra Hirawat, who has produced films like ‘Freddy’ and ‘Ooron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’, has the rights of ‘Tiranga’ and is going to remake the film, starring Akshay Kumar. Will be seen in the lead role.

It was also said that Akshay Kumar is ready to do the film. He has signed the film and the makers have also given him the signing amount. But this is not the whole truth. Now Narendra Hirawat himself has spoken about this. He said that he is working with Akshay, but it is not a remake of the film ‘Tiranga’.

What did Narendra Hirawat say?

Narendra Hirawat told Bollywood Hungama, “For the past few days some media reports are saying that we are remaking ‘Tiranga’ with Akshay Kumar in the lead role. We would like to state that this news is completely baseless and has no truth in it. Yes, we are making a film with Akshay Kumar, but it is not a remake of any film. This is completely fresh and original script. It will be officially announced soon.”

With this statement of Narendra, it is clear that there is no truth in the news of the remake of ‘Tiranga’. However, it remains to be seen which project she works on with Akshay and when it will be announced. However, ‘Tiranga’ is one of the cult classic films of Hindi cinema. The film was directed and produced by Mehul Kumar. The film was a hit at the box office. According to the report, the budget was Rs 3 crore and the earnings were Rs 12 crore.

Akshay Kumar will be seen in this film

Akshay Kumar is coming up with a new film titled ‘Khel Khel Mein’. The film is releasing in theaters on August 15. The film will also feature Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Pragya Jaiswal, Amy Virk and Fardeen Khan. The film will clash with Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ and John Abraham’s ‘Veda’ at the box office. All these three films are coming on the same day. In such a situation, it remains to be seen if Akshay manages to leave both these films behind and win.

It is very important for Akshay that this picture becomes a hit, as he has two films released this year so far. Both these films were flops. The first film is ‘Bade Chhota Mian’. Made with a budget of Rs 350 crore, the film earned only Rs 59.17 crore at the domestic box office. Another movie is ‘Sarfira’. Made on a budget of 100 crores, the film earned 17.85 crore rupees in India. It is a Hindi remake of the Tamil language film Soorarai Potru.
