After the government’s decision, the Congress on Tuesday claimed that due to opposition from Rahul Gandhi and several other opposition leaders, the PM Narendra Modi-led government had to decide to backtrack on issues related to lateral entry and recruitment to withdraw the advertisement.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge claimed, “As long as the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh are in power, they will continue to adopt new tactics to take away reservations. We should all be careful about this.”
