On receiving information about the murder, the Kotwali reached the spot along with the police, who, seeing the excitement of the villagers, calmed down the matter and immediately took the perpetrator into custody. Also, the farmer lying on the ground in a bleeding condition was sent to Orai Medical College for treatment with the help of an ambulance, where the doctors declared him brought dead after examination. The sensational incident of murder took place in Chamari village under police station area. 52-year-old farmer Dev Singh Parihar, a resident of this village, was returning from his farm on Thursday evening. Behind him was Pratipal Patel alias Bablu Patel, a resident of the same village. When Dev Singh approached a government school near his house, Pratipal attacked Dev Singh from behind with an axe, causing him to fall to the ground in a pool of blood. When the villagers saw this incident, they got scared and started shouting. On hearing the noise, the people of Dev Singh’s house came out and found him lying bleeding on the ground outside the school and immediately informed the police.

Regarding this murder, the brother of the deceased, Bahadur Singh, says that due to an old enmity, his brother was killed by Pratipal Patel alias Bablu Patel. He said that there was a dispute with the killer about 34 years ago in 1990, but there was no talk with Pratipal in 34 years. Neither brother has ever spoken about the dispute. On Thursday evening, when his brother was returning from the farm, Pratipal attacked him with an ax in front of the government school near the house and killed him.
