Jammu And Kashmir: Infiltration Attempt Failed In Batal Of Rajouri, One Jawan Injured In Firing, Operation Continues


Another infiltration attempt by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir has been foiled by the security forces. The infiltration attempt was carried out in Batal sector of Rajouri district of Union Territory. But the alert soldiers did not let him succeed. Another terror attack foiled in Rajouri

Earlier on Monday, the Army foiled another terrorist attack attempt in Rajouri district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Army personnel foiled an attempt to attack an army post and the house of a Gram Raksha Dal (VDG) member in the early hours of Monday morning.

Army officials said that the security forces have cordoned off the area and started a search operation to nab the terrorists involved in the incident. During the search, he had a clash with the terrorists. Sources were quoted as saying that one of the terrorists who attacked VDG’s house was killed. However, apart from a soldier, a civilian and a relative of the VDG were injured in the incident.

There was intelligence about the attack

In this regard, the White Knight Corps tweeted on Monday and informed, “Terrorists attacked the house of a member of the Village Defense Force at 3.10 am in Gundha area of ​​Rajouri district. However, at the time of the attack, an army unit was present nearby and immediately responded and the two clashed.

According to the White Knight Corps, the Indian Army acted immediately on intelligence received about the threat of a possible attack on the VDG village located in the remote areas of Rajouri and Riasi. The White Knight Corps said the tactical team took immediate action to avoid any harm to the VDC member and his family members.

15 attacks in recent days in Jammu region

Army officials said militants opened fire at the house of VDG and ex-soldier Parshottam Kumar in Gundha area of ​​Khawas tehsil. Kumar has also been honored with the Shaurya Chakra. The security personnel retaliated after the militants hurled grenades, but they attacked a newly established army post in the area around 4 am, triggering the exchange of fire, the official said.

Monday’s terror attack is the 14th incident in Jammu region in the last few days. 10 security personnel including 2 officers and 9 devotees lost their lives, while 58 others were injured in these terrorist incidents. However, 5 terrorists were killed in the meantime. Today is the 15th attack in the Battle sector.
