JDU has made major allegations against Congress-RJD regarding caste enumeration.

Nitish Kumar’s party JDU has leveled major allegations against Congress and RJD over the issue of caste enumeration. The party’s working president Sanjay Jha has said in an exclusive conversation with TV9 that there was a lot of opposition over caste enumeration among the constituent parties of the Indian Alliance. In Bengaluru and Mumbai meetings, the JDU requested to have it on the agenda but the Congress and Lalu Prasad Yadav walked away from it due to strong opposition in the alliance.

Sanjay Jha has alleged that the JDU alliance has split due to the stance of Congress and RJD. He said that Congress and Lalu were insisting on saving the alliance by not supporting caste enumeration, so Nitish Kumar decided to leave the alliance.

Sanjay Jha attacked Congress and RJD

JDU leader Sanjay Jha in an exclusive conversation with TV9 has alleged that Congress’s demand for caste enumeration in Parliament is just an illusion. He said that if the Congress is really serious about this issue, why is it avoiding releasing the data despite conducting a caste survey in Karnataka? Sanjay Jha did not stop here. He also said that RJD is also in a similar situation which is only doing politics on the issue of caste enumeration. He asked why the RJD, which had supported the UPA for 10 years, could not conduct a caste enumeration. Sanjay Jha said that Nitish Kumar has set a precedent by conducting caste-based survey in Bihar, but the opposition is doing nothing but politics on it.

Who was opposing caste enumeration?

When TV9 asked Sanjay Jha the names of the parties that were opposing the caste enumeration, Sanjay Jha said that it is not appropriate to name other parties, as this is an inside room conversation. But why did the Congress and RJD run away from taking this issue on the agenda in the Mumbai and Bengaluru meetings, this question should be asked to Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Congress President. He has alleged that since Congress has a history of opposing reservation, Congress is deceiving the public by raising slogans of caste enumeration. Similar is the situation of RJD which despite being in power for fifteen years, kept avoiding implementation of reservation even at panchayat level. The JDU leader said that the demand that the RJD is making today regarding caste enumeration and 65 per cent reservation in the House is nothing but a political stunt.

BJP supported caste enumeration

The working president of JDU has made a big revelation about caste enumeration. He has said that BJP was included in the government when it came to conducting a caste-based survey. The BJP supported Nitish Kumar’s demand in the cabinet meeting, so it was passed in the cabinet. Rejecting RJD’s claim of caste census, he has said that saying that caste census was conducted on the initiative of RJD is just a blatant lie, nothing else.
