Jharkhand: Beneficiaries Are Getting Fake Calls Regarding Government Schemes, Warns CM Soren

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren on Tuesday took notice of fake calls received by women regarding the transfer of funds under the ‘Mukhyamantri Mauniya Samman Yojana’. The Chief Minister has appealed to women not to share OTP or their bank account details with anyone when they get calls related to the scheme.

Hemant Soren said that the government is not taking any call regarding this scheme. He urged everyone to be vigilant and not share their bank account details while receiving such calls. The Jharkhand CM said that regarding the Chief Minister Mainian Samman Yojana, information is coming that many beneficiaries are receiving calls related to the scheme on their mobile numbers, which are completely fake.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has also appealed to everyone to beware of such scams through a post on his X account. He wrote in his post that it is very important to avoid the fast growing online fraud. Many people are cheating by sending messages or calls. He said that messages can also come through SMS, WhatsApp, mail or telegram, so you all are requested to be careful.

The CM said that the Jharkhand Police is alert about such cases. On receiving any information, take immediate action and identify the fake caller. Hemant Soren said that the government is not taking any call regarding this scheme. Therefore, sisters and daughters enrolled under the scheme are requested not to share OTP or information related to their bank account with the caller when they receive a call related to the scheme.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana

Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainyan Samman Yojana (JMMSY) is the main beneficiary scheme of the state government. Under this scheme, every woman in the age group of 21 to 50 years of the state will get the benefit of this scheme. Under this scheme, every woman in the state will get an honorarium of 12 thousand rupees every year. That is, one thousand rupees will be directly deposited in the beneficiary’s account every month.
