Michigan State football welcomed in the FCS’s Prairie View A&M into Spartan Stadium and dominated the Panthers, 40-0, improving to 3-0 on the season. The Spartans win gave fans everything they wanted to see from their team, a convincing win while being able to see a ton of Spartans be featured in the matchup.
Now, before the team turns the page to the challenging test with Boston College next weekend, head coach Jonathan Smith put the final period on the week three win for the Spartans.
Smith took to social media to announce the players of the game for Michigan State. Find out who they were:
Offensive Player of the Game
Running back Nathan Carter took home offensive player of the game honors with an 8 carry, 91 yard and a touchdown performance.
Defensive Player of the Game
Cornerback Charles Brantley took home the defensive player of the game honor after a 100-yard pick-six to go along with 2 tackles and a pass defend.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Sam Edwards was named as the special teams player of the week for MSU. He did not record a stat but was responsible for very good coverage in the special teams aspects of the game.
Offensive Lineman of the Game
Luke Newman has been a staple of Michigan State’s offensive line in the 2024 season. The Holy Cross transfer’s efforts were rewarded in the team’s win, earning the offensive lineman of the game award from the team.
Defensive Lineman of the Game
Rush end Khris Bogle was given the defensive lineman of the game honor after recording 4 tackles and a tackle for loss in the win.
