Postpone the release of Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’

Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ has been in controversy ever since the trailer was released. Earlier there was a demand to ban the release of this film in Punjab. After that there are also news that the release of the film is just a few days away, but the film has not yet received the certificate from the Censor Board. Now there is news that this film has been postponed. Now the film will not release on its scheduled date.

Trade analyst and film reviewer Taran Adarsh has shared this information on social media. He made a post on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Emergency has been postponed. The film will not release on September 6. However, Kangana has not yet shared any official information regarding this. The trailer of the film was released on 14 August. The controversy has continued ever since.

What information did the CBFC give to the court?

A petition was filed in the Punjab-Haryana High Court some time ago, seeking a ban on the release of the film in Punjab. The petition said that the film has wrongly portrayed Sikhs. Recently this application was heard in the court. During the hearing, the Censor Board informed the court that the release certificate for the film has not yet been issued.

It was also said by the Censor Board that there have been complaints about the film. The film is being watched. If anything is seen in the film which hurts the sentiments of Sikhs then that scene can be removed from the film. After this information given by CBFC, there was talk that the film might be shelved. And now that’s what happened. However, this is not the first time that the release date of this film has been pushed forward.
