Kareena Sat On The Set For The Whole Day And Night, After Which This Scene Was Shot.


Kareena Kapoor has been working in Bollywood since the age of 19. He made his debut in Bollywood with the film ‘Refugee’ released in the year 2000. The film was directed by JP Dutta. In such a situation, the actress recalled her first day on the sets of ‘Refugee’ and mentioned how she waited all day and all night to give her first shot.

Recalling her old days, Kareena said that she was very scared then. Speaking to Brute India, he said, “I waited the whole day for a shot and it didn’t happen. After this I waited all night and still no shot. I kept thinking, ‘What’s going on?’ ‘What’s going to happen?’ I was just looking forward to the shot.

Kareena said that at quarter past four in the morning, the assistant director went to her and said, ‘The shot is ready’. Kareena said, “The film’s director JP Dutta was not one to praise his actors after a good take. JP sir had a habit of not saying whether a shot was right or not. He’ll just take a shot and before you know it he’ll grab the camera and move to the other side. This means the shot is OK. He just took the shot and went to the other side. The actress said that this was her first shot of ‘Refugee’, when she lifts her curtain and asks, ‘Can I get water?’

My whole career is at stake- Kareena

The actress said, JP sir said, ‘Camera, rolling, action’ and I gave the shot and then ‘cut’. JP sir did not say anything. He just took the camera and started walking in another direction. Kareena said that she asked JP Dutta if the shot was okay and he replied yes. The actress said, “So I thought, ‘We just did one, what if something goes wrong? My whole career is at stake. He said yes, that’s good, it’s a take.”

A film festival has been organized

Next year, it will be 25 years since the release of Kareena’s first film. To celebrate his long journey in films, PVR Cinemas has organized a film festival in his name. The festival will run from September 20 to 27 and will screen five of Kareena’s most loved films in over 30 theaters across 15 cities. This film festival will showcase his illustrious career. Films screened at this film festival are ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ (2001), ‘Ashoka’ (2001), ‘Omkara’ (2006), ‘Jab We Met’ (2007), and ‘Chameli’ (2004).
