Kolkata Rape Case: Brother Should Be Punished For What He Did… Says Sister Of Accused Sanjay Roy

Kolkata Police has arrested Sanjay Roy, a civic volunteer, in connection with the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Sanjay Roy has also admitted to the charges of rape and murder against the Kolkata Police and the CBI. On Friday, he was produced in a Sealdah court, the court ordered his 14-day judicial custody. After which he has been sent to Kolkata’s Presidency Jail.

Meanwhile, the Sealdah court has allowed the polygraph test of accused Sanjay Roy. Accused Sanjay Roy has also consented to the test, but the polygraph test was not conducted on Friday. CBI officials say that more information will be provided whenever possible.

Along with Sanjay Roy, Sandeep Ghosh and two trainee doctors, an intern and an employee have consented to a total of four polygraph tests. Currently, Sanjay Roy has been sent to judicial custody till September 6, when a polygraphy test will be conducted and he will be produced. According to the information received so far, a team of CFSL experts will conduct the test at the CBI office itself.

Meanwhile, strict punishment is being demanded for the accused Sanjay Roy. State CM Mamata Banerjee has demanded capital punishment for the accused. Now the statement of accused Sanjay Roy’s sister has come out.

Accused Sanjay Roy’s sister said she did not know what her brother had done. If his brother has done wrong to the girl, as is being said, he should be punished.

Accused Sanjay Roy’s sister said that she has not spoken to him in the last 17 years, neither has he come to meet me nor have I gone to meet him. He hasn’t seen her in years. So he can’t say anything.

The accused’s sister said that her father was not ready for her marriage. Her father had told her that he would break all ties with her if she married here. So, there was no relationship after that.

He said that as a child he was normal like other children. He never saw anything strange he was doing police work (civic volunteer) so he sometimes did day shift and sometimes night shift. He said he never saw or heard him fighting with anyone or anything.

The sister of the accused said that she did not know whether he had done anything or not. If he has really done something, I will accept whatever punishment is given to him. If he did this to a girl then it is very wrong.
