Sandeep Ghosh in CBI custody for 8 days
After the brutality with the doctor in Kolkata, the then Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Sandeep Ghosh is under investigation. The CBI arrested him on Monday, after which he was produced in court. From where the former principal has been sent to 8 days custody. Although the CBI sought 10 days to arrest him, the court granted 8 days.
Three other accused have also been sent to CBI custody. After which the next appearance will be on September 10. Sandeep Ghosh was taken to the court amid tight security. Ghosh has been arrested in a corruption case. The CBI has taken this action after more than 15 days of inquiry. The court has also rejected the bail application of another accused officer Ali Khan, who was arrested in this case.

Former principal Sandeep Ghosh appeared in the court
CBI’s anti-corruption wing arrested former principal Sandeep Ghosh and 3 other accused last night. RG Kar was brought before the Alipore Judge’s Court in the case of medical college and hospital financial irregularities. As soon as Sandeep Ghosh left the CBI office, the people gathered at the spot started shouting at Sandeep Ghosh as a thief. Amid tight security, he was taken out of the car and produced in court.
So far 4 people have been arrested
Four people have been arrested so far in the case of murder and rape of a trainee doctor. Former Principal of RG Kar Medical, Kolkata Dr. Apart from Sandeep Ghosh, Ghosh’s security guard Afsar Ali, the hospital’s salesman Biplav Singha and Suman Hazara were among those present. On August 24, the CBI registered an FIR against Sandeep Ghosh and others on charges of corruption, following which an investigation was launched. Former Deputy Superintendent of the Hospital Dr. Akhtar Ali had lodged a complaint about financial irregularities at the hospital during Ghosh’s tenure as principal. After which the investigation was started.
