Kolkata Rap Case Sanjay Roy’s Polygraph Test

The polygraph test of Sanjay Roy, the main accused in the rape case at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, was conducted at the Presidency Jail on Sunday. Along with this, the polygraph test of some more people is going on in the CBI office located at CGO Complex in Salt Lake. Sanjay Roy’s polygraph test was conducted between 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM. After a long interrogation with expert doctors and various equipment, the CBI officials have walked out of the Presidency Jail. What new information has come to the hands of the officials while inquiring about the prescribed questions and various test materials. This is yet to come out.

Kolkata Police arrested Sanjay Roy, a civic volunteer, a day after the incident in connection with the rape and murder of a trainee doctor. After his arrest, Sanjay Roy himself confessed to the crime, but the CBI has since taken over the investigation. He is constantly changing his statement. He acquitted himself in the Sealdah court. Even during the CBI interrogation, he was not giving a clear answer. There were constant discrepancies in his statements.

According to Central Investigation Agency sources, Sanjay Roy tried to mislead the CBI by giving different information one after another while in custody. He is constantly changing his statement about the reason for admission to the hospital, the time of admission to the hospital, the reason for entering the seminar hall of the hospital or even the seminar hall itself and the murder.

After which his polygraphy test became necessary. CBI applied for polygraphy test in Sealdah court. The court allowed the polygraphy test of seven people including Sanjay Roy. After the consent of these accused, the polygraphy test of four people was conducted on Saturday. Sanjay Roy and three others were subjected to polygraphy test on Sunday.

Earlier on Saturday, a CBI team went to the Presidency Jail. The civic volunteer arrested on court orders is in the VIP ward of the Presidency Jail. The CBI visited the Presidency Jail on Saturday and probed the polygraph test case. Investigators also spoke to jail officials about where the test would be conducted, what equipment would be required for the test, etc.

CBI raids at 15 locations

The CBI again went to the Presidency Jail on Sunday morning. According to sources, the process of polygraph test had already started in the morning. This process continued till 3 pm. On the other hand, CBI officials are also conducting polygraph test of two medical students in CGO complex.

Meanwhile, 15 CBI teams raided various areas of the city on Sunday morning to investigate the RG Tax financial corruption case. At around 6:30 am, the CBI RG went to the house of resigned principal Sandeep Ghosh in a car and is interrogating him. The CBI has also raided the houses of former RG Tax Superintendent Sanjay Vashishth and another doctor Debashish Som in Kestpur.
