Kolkata Scandal: Sandeep Ghosh Caught In CBI’s Clutches, There Are Complaints Of Irregularities In Academic Funds To Skill Labs.


More than 15 days have passed since the Kolkata rape and murder. Former Deputy Superintendent of RG Car Hospital Dr. Akhtar Ali complained about irregularities in the hospital during the year 2022 to 2023. In this regard, SIT was constituted in Kolkata on the recommendation of the State Government. Dr. Akhtar Ali appeared before the SIT and reiterated his grievances. After this, when Mamata Banerjee handed over the case registered by the SIT to the CBI, an FIR was registered in the case on August 24 itself. It was only then that the CBI started formulating a strategy for document verification.

The CBI team also reached the hospital. The CBI raided several places simultaneously to verify the documents. The most important of these is the RG Car Hospital. At seven in the morning, the CBI team reached the admin block of RG Kar Hospital. According to the received information, searching for old files there is in progress. Along with this, the staff of the account department of the hospital was also called.

Many complaints have been made against Sandeep Ghosh. The first complaint is about the hospital cafeteria. It is alleged that the note sheet and the quotation were issued on the same date. The case is related to financial misappropriation. The principal misappropriated and misused public money to benefit a particular company.

The fifth complaint is about malpractices in academic funds. It is alleged that overpayment has been made. In this case the account officer’s note was ignored. To a large extent this is also actionable and cases of money laundering come to light. The sixth complaint is regarding purchase of HFNO. It is alleged that the emergency fund was misused. HFNO was purchased at high prices. Action is possible in this case also. This case is a criminal offence.
