A businessman living with his girlfriend in Krishnanagar area of Lucknow has been murdered under suspicious circumstances. The girlfriend is held responsible for the incident. It is being said that the accused girlfriend romanced the whole night and in the morning she strangled the businessman while he was sleeping and ran away. However, after receiving the complaint, the police arrested the accused lover from Unnao. On the other hand, the businessman’s wife filed a police complaint and accused her lover of blackmailing her.
He said that he killed the businessman as he did not get the money. According to Lucknow Police DCP Dakshin Keshav Kumar, the deceased businessman has been identified as Santosh Singh Gautam, a resident of PGI’s Aldico Rakshakhand. He opened a shop in Bijnor area and was doing construction material business. Last Friday around 3.45 pm, he came to Hotel Sonam in Kesrikheda, Krishnanagar along with his girlfriend Manju Singh and booked a room.
After the incident, the girlfriend left the hotel.
He stayed here for the night and around seven in the morning his girlfriend Manju Singh came out of the hotel. There was no movement of businessman Santosh Singh Gautam from the hotel room till around 10:40, so the hotel manager reached his room for checkout. Gautama was seen lying on the ground in an unconscious state. Fearing something untoward, the manager immediately informed the police. After this the police came and checked Gautham’s pulse and took him to the hospital. While the doctors declared him dead, when the police investigated the matter, they found that Santosh’s girlfriend had already left the hotel.
Girlfriend accused of blackmailing
In such a situation, the police informed the family of the deceased. On receiving this information, Krishna, the wife of the deceased, said that Manju Singh had committed the crime. According to his wife Krishna, he has two daughters and a son. So far lakhs of rupees have been recovered from the accused. Now the accused were demanding Rs 5 lakh. According to Krishna, he complained about this at the police station on September 17 itself, but the police did not act on time. Due to which her husband has been killed today.
