Madhya Pradesh: Patwari Will Slaughter Cows On Order Of SDM, Commotion, Now Threat Received

The Patwari Union has opposed the SDM’s order.

In Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur, the patwari will now take the cows from the road to the cowshed. This strange order has been issued by the district administration for Patwaris and other employees of revenue department. After this order, there has been a commotion in the district. Patwari and revenue employees are protesting this order. The Patwari Sangh has threatened to stage an agitation if the order is not withdrawn.

While issuing the order, district Bijawar SDM Vijay Kumar Dwivedi has said that between 6 pm and 10 pm cows staying on the road will be taken to the gaushala by the patwari and other staff. The SDM says that due to the duty of patwaris, sending the cattle sitting on the road to the gaushala will not affect the revenue work. This decision has been taken to prevent the constant accidents due to cows sitting on the road.

The Patwari Sangh protested

Patwaris of the district have protested against this decision of SDM. The Patwari Union has also come forward against this decision. Union president Pritam Patwari says we have a lot of work to do in the revenue department. It would be better if the cow guards or the municipality do this work. He says that this order has to be withdrawn or else we will protest.

Congress made accusations, BJP praised

After this decision of SDM, politics has started in the state. Congress has accused the government in this matter. Also, BJP has considered this decision as a right step. Congress spokesperson Avnish Bundela has said that the state government makes big claims about cows, but the truth is something different. Now the patwaris are being asked to catch the cow and bring it. He says that this is not the work of patwaris. On this decision of SDM, BJP state spokesperson Neha Bagga says that the administration has to take such decisions for the welfare of the people. The administration continues to experiment.
