The Election Commission has allowed the Shiv Sena (UBT) party to accept public donations. The Election Commission has permitted the party to accept public money under Section 29B and Section 29C of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. This amount can be given voluntarily by any person or company except a government company.
The Thackeray group is happy with the Election Commission’s decision. The Election Commission recently allowed Sharad Chandra Pawar’s party NCP to accept the funds.
