Mamata Sarkar Approaches The Supreme Court Against The Bail Of West Bengal Student Society Leader Sayan Lahiri, The Hearing Will Be Held On Monday

The West Bengal Mamata Banerjee government has approached the Supreme Court against the Calcutta High Court’s decision to grant bail to West Bengal student society leader Sayan Lahiri. A bench headed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court will hear the West Bengal government’s petition on Monday. The West Bengal government has challenged the Calcutta High Court’s decision in the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, ‘West Bengal Chhatra Samaj’ coordinator Sayan Lahiri was released on bail after getting bail from the Calcutta High Court. The Calcutta High Court ordered his release on Friday. The state government has also faced court questions regarding this arrest. The High Court ordered the release of the student leader by 2 pm on Saturday.

Sion was released from the Bankshall Court before the High Court deadline. Sayan alleged that the police had taken repressive measures. However, he thanked Leader of Opposition Subhendu Adhikari for standing by him. On this day, BJP leader Shankudev Panda was standing in the court premises near Sian.

Sayan Lahiri said, “I am happy with the court’s decision. When we started the mass movement we said we have none. So people who are supporting this mass movement should come and stand by it. I thank Leader of Opposition Subhendu Adhikari. The way he stood by my family, stood by me, I will always be grateful to him. Many of our friends are in jail. Efforts will be made to free them.

Arrested during the Nabanna campaign

On August 27, the ‘West Bengal Student Society’ called for a new campaign on social media. There was a lot of speculation about who this ‘West Bengal Student Society’ was. There were also allegations that BJP was behind this campaign. However, two days before the event, the three youths appeared before reporters at the Kolkata Press Club. He said that he is the coordinator of this ‘West Bengal Student Society’. Sayan Laheri was also there.

During the Nabanna campaign, there was a huge uproar under the auspices of the ‘West Bengal Vidyarthi Samaj’. Police arrested many people. Sayan Lahiri is also among those arrested.
