Michigan football lands 2025 four-star Andrew Marsh, program’s top WR commit since 2017

The Michigan football program continues its torrid stretch on the recruiting trail.

The Wolverines landed class of 2025 four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh out of Fulshear, Texas (Katy Jordan) on Tuesday.

Marsh is rated the No. 12 player in Texas, according to 247Sports composite rankings, which also has him as the nation’s No. 8 wide receiver and the No. 52 overall player in his class. He becomes the highest rated wide receiver to commit to the Wolverines since Donovan Peoples Jones (who was the No. 1 ranked wideout in the nation) from Cass Tech in 2017.

Marsh, who already stands 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, holds more than 35 Division I offers, including Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, USC, Texas, Washington and Kentucky, among others.

The rising senior caught 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns in his junior season, according to his profile, which also lists that he ran his 400-meter in 50.24 seconds as a freshman.

“Explosive, productive receiver with a lean, wiry-strong build and impressive athletic markers in high jump, vertical and broad jump categories,” writes 247Sports scouting analyst Gabe Brooks. “Frequent big-play merchant thanks largely to slippery strength and athleticism in run-after-catch situations. Unorthodox in gait and play style, but fights through tackles and maintains balance to get extra yardage despite a slighter frame.

“High-major receiver prospect who could develop into an impact player with legitimate long-term NFL Draft upside.”

Marsh is the third wide receiver in the class to commit to position coach Ron Bellamy, joining a pair of greater New Orleans products in four-star Jacob Washington (Archbishop Shaw) and three-star Phillip Wright (Destrehan).

Michigan now has 17 commits in the class of 2025, the group ranks No. 12 in the nation.
