‘Mirzapur 3’ Robin Reveals He Was Rejected For Ranveer Singh’s Hit

All the characters of ‘Mirzapur’ web series have their own fan base. There is also a character in this web series who became famous among the people by saying ‘This is also good’. That character is Robin, played by actor Priyanshu Painuli. His entry in this series was in the second season. He is a part of ‘Mirzapur 3’, but his character was dropped this season.

Apart from Mirzapur, Priyanshu has acted in a few other series and films. He recently revealed that he even auditioned for Ranveer Singh’s film. However, he was rejected. Ranveer’s film for which Priyanshu faced rejection turned out to be a hit.

In an interview given to YouTube channel Digital Commentary, Priyanshu said that he auditioned for ‘Gully Boy’. The film featured a rapper named MC Sher, played by actor Siddhant Chaturvedi. Priyanshu tried for the same role, but the case did not materialize. Siddhant was well liked in this role.

This picture released in the year 2019 was directed by Zoya Akhtar. According to Box Office India, the film had a total worldwide collection of Rs 230 crore. Apart from Ranveer and Siddhant, Alia Bhatt was also a part of this film. Priyanshu also revealed that he even wrote a rap for the audition for the role.

However, Priyanshu started his career with the web series ‘Bang Baja Baaraat’ released in 2015. In the year 2016, a film named ‘Rock On 2’ was released. This was Priyanshu’s first picture. He has also worked in Hollywood. He was a part of the movie ‘Extraction’ released in the year 2020.
