MP: Kidnapped, Raped, Then Made A Deal… How Did The Missing Girl Reach Home After A Year And A Half?

A sensational case has come to light in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh. A girl child was kidnapped here one and a half years ago. It is alleged that after the abduction he was taken to Pune in Maharashtra. She was held hostage and raped in Pune. When the accused were satisfied, they sold the girl to another person. However, the girl, freed from the clutches of the abductors, somehow reached her home in Panna and narrated her ordeal to her family. After this, the family members reached the SP office and pleaded for justice.

The victim’s father said that on March 15, 2023, around 6-7 pm, his daughter went a short distance from her house to defecate, but did not return. Even after many searches, nothing was found and a missing complaint was lodged at the Shahnagar police station. However, the police did not take any action in this regard. After lapse of more than a year, on 20th August 2024, the daughter received a call and told that Raghuveer Yadav alias son along with his other brothers kidnapped me and took me to Pune, where they had forced physical relations.

Forced court marriage on the victim

When he was satisfied, he sold it to a person named Pushpendra Gupta. Pushpendra was also physically abusing me and giving me drug injections. Pushpendra pressured her for a court marriage and she was bringing Panna, when the victim somehow found an opportunity and called her family. On Friday, when the victim’s father reached the old court in Panna, the victim was found there. On seeing the victim’s father Pushpendra Gupta, his father and brother ran away.

The victim herself narrated her ordeal

The victim said that she had gone to defecate from her house. On her way back while she was washing her hands and feet at a hand pump, the accused knocked her unconscious and kidnapped her and took her to Pune. He was locked in a room, given unconscious injections and physically abused for a year and a half. She was then sold to someone else who, apart from physically abusing her, also forced her into a court marriage. To escape the kidnappers, he agreed to a court marriage and called his father before reaching Panna, due to which his father reached the spot and the accused escaped.

Notice to take action against the accused

Regarding this entire matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Aarti Singh said that the victim and her family have given a complaint letter. An FIR has been registered against the accused and action has been taken. Based on the victim’s statement, a case has been registered against the woman police station in-charge and instructions have been given to take action in the case. The accused will be arrested soon.
