Akhilesh Yadav has shocked everyone by making a Brahmin face the leader of Samajwadi Party’s legislative party. Mata Prasad Pandey is an old leader of the party. He was the Speaker of the UP Legislative Assembly. Akhilesh Yadav was the Chief Minister then. Pandey was considered a close leader of Mulayam Singh Yadav. He was a minister in his government. A meeting of MLAs was held at the party office in Lucknow on Sunday. The agenda was to elect a new leader to replace Akhilesh Yadav. But the decision in the meeting was left to Akhilesh Yadav.

There was a debate within and outside the Samadwadi Party about appointing a new leader of the Dalit or Backward Opposition. It was said that the party has done well in the Lok Sabha because of PDA. So this social engineering should continue. Akhilesh’s PDA stands for backward, downtrodden and minority. Due to this social equation, the party won 37 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.

All these four names were in the race and all were out.

Four names were in the race to become the new Leader of the Opposition. Indrajit Saroj, Tufani Saroj, Ram Achal Rajbhar and Shivpal Yadav. Being an uncle, Shivpal Yadav was the first to drop out of the race. Akhilesh Yadav called him and said that you will be the minister when the government is formed. Ram Achal Rajbhar and Indrajit Saroj both come from BSP. Was once close to Mayawati. It was decided to make the dedicated face of the party the leader of the legislative party. Tufani was also expelled in the name of nepotism.

Mata Prasad suddenly received a call from Akhilesh

Suddenly in the afternoon, Akhilesh Yadav called Mata Prasad Pandey to the party office. He also met Akhilesh at his house late at night. Senior party leader Pandey is currently the MLA from Itwa in Siddharthnagar. He wanted to contest Lok Sabha elections. But the party did not give him ticket. Why did SP chief Akhilesh play the Brahmin card?

Akhilesh Yadav’s PDA formula was a hit. Now they are eyeing the by-elections for 10 assembly seats. He has extended the traditional MY i.e. Muslim Yadav equation. His party continued to be accused of favoring Muslims and Yadavs. He took Dalits and backward people along in the Lok Sabha elections. Now he is eyeing the Brahmin voters, who are said to be upset with the BJP. Akhilesh has used Mata Prasad Pandey’s trick to make it his own. If Akhilesh succeeds in breaking the BJP’s Brahmin votebank, it is a double whammy for the BJP. It is said that about 9 percent of the Brahmin electorate is in UP.
