Amit Shah and Ajit Pawar.

Leaders of the Ajit Pawar faction have objected to Union Minister Amit Shah’s statement on Rashtriya Congress Party (SP) chief Sharad Pawar. He said on Monday that such comments on Sharad Pawar were inappropriate. Let us tell you that Amit Shah in one of his statements called Sharad Pawar the kingpin of corruption. However, Ajit Pawar is still silent.

In fact, Ajit Pawar’s NCP is an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). While addressing the state conference of BJP in Pune on Sunday, Amit Shah said that if there is any leader who has done corruption in Indian politics, it is Sharad Pawar. There is no confusion in my mind about this. I openly say that Sharad Pawar has institutionalized corruption in the country.

Pimpri Chinchwad NCP leader Vilas Lande said that he has written to the BJP asking it not to make such comments against Sharad Pawar. Lande said that it is not appropriate to make such a statement because (Sharad) Pawar Sahib has been in national politics for the last 60 years and there is not a single stain of corruption on him.

He said that after Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the term ‘wandering soul’ for Sharad Pawar during the Lok Sabha election campaign, the ‘BJP had to pay the price’. Lande claimed, ‘BJP should correct its mistake by not talking more about Sharad Pawar. If they continue to do so, the next state assembly elections will go against them. I have written to BJP asking them not to speak against 84 year old Sharad Pawar.
