The National Testing Agency released the revised result of the NEET UG 2024 exam on July 20 yesterday on the orders of the Supreme Court. The results were declared exam city and center wise on the official website of NTA exam.nta.ac.in/NEET/. Among the improved results, Rajasthan’s Sikar district has performed record-breakingly across the country.

Out of these, there are 149 students from Seekar who have secured more than 700 marks. There are 2037 students who scored 650 marks. There are 4297 students whose marks are more than 600. There are 6038 candidates who have secured more than 550 marks and 8225 students who have secured more than 500 marks. The arrival of such a large number of students from one district raises some doubts.

Surprising results even at controversial centers

At the same time, the improved results of dispute centers were also startling. In the NEET UG result declared on June 4, 6 toppers were from Hardyal Public School, Jhajjar, Haryana. On this center, two candidates scored 718 and 719 marks. In the re-declared results, 33 students from the center scored more than 500 and 8 students scored more than 600. No student from the center scored more than 700 marks.

There was a controversy over a center in Jharkhand in the results declared earlier. Here too 22 candidates’ marks are not more than 600 in the revised result. Now, based on the results announced on July 20, the Supreme Court will hold the next hearing of this case on July 22. Now, in such a situation, more than 23 lakh candidates are eyeing the hearing to be held on July 22.

What is the controversy over NEET UG?

The NEET UG 2024 exam was organized by the National Testing Agency on May 5 at more than 4 thousand centers across the country. The result was declared on June 4. There were total 67 toppers. At the same time, 6 toppers came from Jhajjar center in Haryana and two candidates had marks of 718 and 719 at this centre.

Candidates appearing for the NEET UG examination across the districts started alleging paper leak and malpractice in the examination and filed a petition in the Supreme Court. During the hearing of the case on July 18, the court ordered the NTA to re-declare the results of all the over 23 lakh candidates who had appeared in the examination and this time the results were declared centre-wise and city-wise.
