After Uttar Pradesh, now Himachal Pradesh is witnessing a name plate controversy. In Himachal Pradesh, Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Wednesday posted on his social media handle and said, It is mandatory for street vendors, dhaba-restaurant owners to have ID in their shops. After his post, a controversy arose in the state and the party (Congress) which had vehemently opposed the BJP over the name plate controversy, now the leader of the same party has ordered to put IDs of street vendors and dhaba vendors in Himachal Pradesh. .

After this order of the minister, now the party is seen taking a step back on this decision. A spokesperson of the Sukhu government said that no final decision has been taken on this sensitive issue yet. The spokesperson further said that many suggestions have been received from various departments regarding the name plate, so far the government has not taken any decision on it.

What is the government’s decision?

Himachal Pradesh in-charge Rajiv Shukla will have to talk to CM Sukhwinder Sukhu and minister Vikramaditya Singh to resolve the dispute, two people close to the government said. Later, party in-charge Rajeev Shukla said that the committee formed by Himachal Pradesh president Kuldeep Singh Pathania has demanded to regulate the vendors by giving licenses.

Shukla asserted that vendors “do not have to display their names” but said the move was meant to “ensure that traffic is not disrupted, it is not like the order given in UP.

What did Vikramaditya Singh order?

A senior Congress leader said that the party high command was surprised by Singh’s move. Sukhu government minister Vikramaditya Singh posted on his social media handle on Wednesday that owner ID of restaurants and fast food vendors in Himachal will be posted so that people do not face any trouble. Kind of a problem. He further said that instructions have been issued in the meeting of Urban Development and Municipal Corporation yesterday for the decision of the name plate.
