Maulana Taukeer Raza of UP’s Bareilly, who claimed to facilitate the conversion and marriage of Hindu boys and girls, is on the backfoot. On 21 July, he sought permission from the district administration for the marriage and conversion program of 5 Hindu couples, which was not granted. After this he has canceled the wedding ceremony.
Following Maulana Tauqeer Raza’s claim, the police said strict action would be taken if anyone organized an event without permission from the administration and tried to spoil the atmosphere. Maulana Tauqeer Raza said on Monday that he will arrange the marriage of Hindu-turned-Muslim young men and women. In the first phase, 5 couples will get married. In which young men and women will complete the process of religious conversion and connect with each other.
Permission was sought for the program at the school
For this he sought permission for a mass Nikah ceremony at Khalil Higher Secondary School. A Muslim cleric from Sambhal opposed this and called the program against Shariat. In this matter, Bareilly SSP Anurag Arya said that an application has been made to the City Magistrate for the permission of marriage ceremony related to religious conversion.

He said that no one will be allowed to play with law and order. Strict action will be taken if any program is held without the permission of the district administration. Maulana Taukeer claimed that he had received applications from as many as 23 young men and women who had converted for marriage. There are 8 boys and 15 girls. Their relationship is already decided. They will be married and the conversion process will have to be completed.
