Gazipur SP’s post has gone viral
There is a constant crackdown on crime and criminals across the state, including encounters with criminals these days. Gazipur Superintendent of Police Dr. Iraj Raja’s post on X is going viral. Although the post is dated September 15, it recently hit the news after Mohammad Zahid alias Sonu, a wanted criminal in the RPF jawan murder case carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh, was killed in an encounter. Through this post, he has issued a stern warning to the criminals.

It is being said that on September 15, Gazipur police posted on its X app about arresting a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 during an encounter. Retweeting the post, Superintendent of Police Iraj Raja warned the criminals in his signature style. The post went viral when a few days later a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh was also killed in an encounter. While re-sharing this Ghazipur Police post on X, SP Dr. Iraj Raja wrote, “The miscreant who fired to spread fear was injured in a police encounter. Our aim is better than these scoundrels. Rogue, beware. Well done SWAT team, PS Bhavarkol and Karimuddinpur.
Who is Dr. Iraj Raja?
Let us tell you that Iraj Raja is a resident of Agra district. In the year 2011, he completed his MBBS education and was then posted as a Medical Officer in Bijnor for 4 years. Dr. Iraj is a 2017 batch IPS officer. When he did not like the profession of doctor, he cleared the UPSC exam. After completing the training, I got my first posting in Lucknow. Even after this ASP stayed in Meerut for 4 months. Then he also held the charge of SP in rural areas of Ghaziabad district for 24 months. During his 2 years of service he has broken the backs of criminals by doing about 150 half encounters. In January 2023, he got charge of Jalaun district of Bundelkhand. Here too a half century was scored in the half encounter. He was transferred from Jalaun to Ghazipur only a few months ago.
