It was also discussed during the meeting that many situations were brought to light when the DJ was taken out during the last ride, so no bhajan groups should bring a DJ in the ride on Monday. Officers should especially keep this in mind. This is a traditionally staged ride of Baba Mahakal in which participating devotees may bring dhol, manjire, damru and dhol with them but no DJ should be used in the ride. Along with this, it was also agreed in the meeting that this time a presentation of traditional musical instruments will be given from Dutt Akhara, the area opposite Ramghat.

Hotel operators should not be able to commit fraud

Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh instructed the officials in the meeting that along with the ride arrangements, more attention should also be given to avoid cheating the devotees who come to have darshan of Baba Mahakal in the month of Shravan as such complaints are often received. Hotel managers have been found to be charging arbitrary amounts from pilgrims coming from outside. Collector Singh told the officials that we have to be so careful that now the hotel management cannot cheat any devotee who comes to have darshan of Baba Mahakal.
