A speeding bus crushed a student
In Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, the speeding bus became uncontrollable. A NEET pass candidate riding a bike was crushed by a bus. The student died on the spot. After the accident, the enraged people created an uproar. Enraged people blocked the road and vandalized the bus. The accident took place near Paras Mall on Old Motihari Road in Ahiapur.
After the incident, the bus driver fled fearing to be caught. The deceased has been identified as Sahil, 19-year-old son of ex-serviceman Ranjit Tiwari, who lives in Ashok Bihar Colony, Kolhua, local Ahiyapur. He was studying Intermediate. Sahil recently cleared the NEET exam. Sahil had left for the city for some work in the morning and was returning home on a bike. Then a fast bus coming from behind crushed him. The family members are in a bad condition and are crying.
The bus kept pulling Sahil some distance.
After hitting Sahil, the bus dragged the bike for some distance. However, on receiving information about the commotion, a large number of police reached the spot. DSP Vinita Sinha said that the bus has crushed a youth. The youth died on the spot. Enraged people vandalized the bus. The bus driver ran away from the spot as soon as he got a chance. A case has been registered against the bus driver. The police calmed down the people by explaining them.
The body has been recovered and sent to SKMCH for post-mortem. Local people said that the bus speed is not being controlled in this area. People are demanding that big vehicles should not be driven on Muzaffarpur Motihari old road.
