Punjab Assembly Passed ‘The East War Awards Bill’, Know Who Will Benefit

The Punjab Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed ‘The East War Awards (Amendment) Bill, 2024’. The bill was tabled by Punjab Defense Services Welfare Minister Chetan Singh Jaura Majra, which was passed unanimously. This bill was introduced by the Punjab Government to amend ‘The East Punjab War Awards Act-1948’. In which the financial assistance will be increased from 10,000 rupees per year to 20,000 rupees per year.

The Punjab Government provides massive jagir financial assistance under ‘The East Punjab War Awards Act-1948’ in the form of financial assistance to the only children or two to three children of parents who were killed during the National Emergency of World War II, 1962 and 1971. 83 beneficiaries have benefited

Currently 83 beneficiaries are getting benefits under this policy. He said that it has been announced by the Punjab Government that only children or two to three children of parents who served in the Indian Army during World War II, National Emergency 1962 and 1971. Under ‘The East Punjab War Awards Act-1948’, the amount of huge Jagir given to them will be increased from Rs 10,000 per annum to Rs 20,000 per annum. After deliberation, the bill was unanimously passed.

The Punjab Apartment-Property Regulation Bill was also passed

The Punjab Apartment-Property Regulation Bill was also unanimously passed in the Assembly. On this occasion, CM Bhagwant said that this bill will benefit common people. He also attacked the leaders of opposition parties. He said that he is not a child but one of the most experienced Chief Ministers of the country.

He said that till November 2 plots up to 500 square yards can be registered without NOC. However, deals for this should be done by July 31. His documents have to be shown. This bill will not regularize illegal settlements, only plots will be regularized.
