The medical student sought justice.
Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College has been in the news for the past few days. A junior lady doctor was raped and murdered here. The matter has not settled yet and in the meantime, similar news has come out from Haryana as well. A medical student of PGI Rohtak has accused her senior doctor of exploitation and kidnapping. The student described the doctor’s disgusting act on Instagram.
This medical student’s name is Prachi. Prachi revealed on social media Instagram that she is a BDS first year student of PGI Rohtak. He said that Dr. PG Anatomy. Maninder Kaushik has been chasing her for the past seven months. Said- I spoke to him as a friend, which became scary with time. He constantly pressured me for sex and became violent when I refused.
Prachi said- I have been living in fear for the last two months as he is constantly harassing and blackmailing me. He threatened that I would fail anatomy if I didn’t comply. My admit card was also withheld. He used this to pressure me.

The victim said- The senior doctor called me on August 16 and called me outside the library. Promised that he will stop harassing me now and also give admit card. When I arrived to meet him, he forced me into his car. They fatally attacked me and took me to an unknown place. He abused me physically and emotionally for about 12 hours from 11 pm on August 16 to 1 pm on August 17.
Accused of inaction
Prachi said – Doctor Maninder kicked, punched and tortured me with a knife. I have marks all over my body including my face. I was then dropped back on campus, where I immediately called my parents and filed a case against them. However, no serious action has been taken against the accused. I wonder how a person like him can be admitted to a medical college? I want justice for what I have suffered. I am determined to make sure that no one else has to suffer like this.
