Rat Terror In Damoh District Jail, Targets Inmates…bitten 6 So Far

What would you say if such dangerous people are afraid of rats, whose appearance scares people, who scares people when they see them, and about whom people have a terrible image when they hear about them? But these days something similar is happening in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, people whose names are recorded in the police diary, who have been booked for dangerous crimes, who have been caught and thrown in jail, are afraid of rats and that too, nowhere else. But in the district jail.

This may sound strange but for the past one week inmates and inmates have been spending vigil nights in the Damoh District Jail. They sleep, but there is one fear in their mind and this fear is of rats. These days there is rat terror in Damoh District Jail and these rats are targeting inmates and inmates. Rats bite inmates while sleeping at night. Half a dozen inmates have been bitten by rats in the last one week, who have been treated by the jail management.

Prisoners are bitten by rats

The matter came to light when the family members visited the inmates lodged in Damoh Jail and the inmates complained of rat terror in the jail, after which the family members became active and complained about the same to the jail management and the district administration. . The case is strange, but when the jail administration came to know, many inmates complained that they had been bitten by rats, after which the jail management swung into action and sent the inmates affected by rat bites to the district hospital for treatment.

Prisoners admitted to district hospital

The doctors who are treating these prisoners say that the prisoners who were brought after being bitten by rats have been treated. No need to fear, everything is fine. Now the question is from where the rats came in the jail, the Deputy Superintendent of District Jail says that earlier a large part of the jail premises was empty and like a field, where rats used to live, but recently the ground was leveled due to which the rats also became homeless. And they went inside the prison.

The prison administration is also troubled by rats

According to the Deputy Superintendent, there is a large number of rats inside the jail and the inmates who complained of rat bites have been treated. In fact, the jail management is also very troubled. Killing rats is one option to get rid of them, but how to kill large numbers of rats is also difficult. For this, it is easiest to have rat poison, but this also has risks. This drug cannot be kept in general, because there is a fear that an inmate will consume this drug, otherwise a major incident may occur. Therefore, rat poison is kept under the careful supervision of prison staff.
