On this auspicious festival, a daughter of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh has sent a rakhi to the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 11-year-old Mantrita Sharma has sent a Raksha Sutra rakhi, kumkum chawal and a letter to the PM on this special occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Gwalior Minister Sharma has sent a rakhi to the Prime Minister for the safety of the daughters.

Describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the protector of the country, Minister Sharma has sought a promise of security from him on this holy festival of Raksha Bandhan. Minister’s mother Ekatmata Sharma said that her daughter has been the brand ambassador of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ for 8 years. In such a situation, media is creating an environment around us where girls of all ages are being raped and killed.
