Sagar Accident: CM Yadav’s Strict Action On Death Of 9 Children While Constructing Shivling, 5 Officials Including DM-SP Took Measurements


A wall adjacent to the Hardaul temple premises in Shahpur of Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh suddenly collapsed on Sunday. Nine children died tragically in this accident and two others were injured. Officials said the incident took place between 8.30 am and 9 am during a religious program near the temple premises in Shahpur village of Rahli assembly constituency.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has taken strict action and ordered the removal of Rahli’s District Magistrate (DM), Superintendent of Police (SP) and Sub-District Magistrate (SDM) after a wall collapse killed nine children. Apart from this, he suspended Chief Municipal Officer and Deputy Engineer of Shahpur Nagar Panchayat. Municipal bodies have also been instructed to detect dilapidated buildings and take action. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased.

In fact, construction of Shivlinga and planning of Bhagwat Katha is going on in Shahpur village temple. The work of making Shivlinga started from Sunday also in the month of Shavan. Meanwhile, many children aged eight to 14 years also came to make clay Shivlinga. In the morning, when he was building the Shivalinga, the fifty-year-old mud wall next to the temple collapsed on him.

9 children died tragically in this accident. The police and city council were immediately informed about the accident. After which the rescue team pulled out the children from the debris. BJP MLA and former minister Gopal Bhargava said that the construction of Partha Shivling was going on near the dilapidated house, during which the wall collapsed. Bhargava said many of the children who lost their lives in the incident were the only children of their parents.

According to information, two children died on the spot in the accident while seven others died while being taken to the hospital or during treatment. The two injured children are undergoing treatment at the district hospital and their condition is out of danger. According to officials, the deceased have been identified as Dhruv Yadav (12), Nitesh Patel (13), Ashutosh Prajapati (15), Prince Sahu (12), Parva Vishwakarma (10), Divyansh Sahu (12), Dev Sahu (12). , Vansh Lodhi (10) and Hemant (10).

Expressing grief over this incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a post on Twitter that the incident of wall falling into the sea in Madhya Pradesh is heartbreaking. My condolences to the bereaved families of the children who lost their lives in this. May God give them the strength to bear this pain. I also wish a speedy recovery to all the injured. The Prime Minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the PMNRF (Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund) to the families of each of the deceased, while Rs 50,000 will be given to the injured, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a post. on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav wished for the speedy recovery of the children injured in the incident. He said that the Shahpur Nagar Panchayat had issued notices after identifying dilapidated houses but had not informed the local administration about it. He said that the in-charge Chief Municipal Officer and Sub-Engineer of the Nagar Panchayat, who were found guilty of negligence, have been suspended with immediate effect.

Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari has also expressed grief over the incident. Former Chief Minister and Congress leader Kamal Nath said that this is the second incident of the death of children due to the collapse of the wall. He said that in view of the heavy rains, it is necessary for the administration to identify dilapidated buildings and walls to avoid such incidents.
