A 12-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Family members said that the child was scolded by his elder sister for not studying. As a result of which the child was injured, he took this step in private. Now the body of the child has been recovered and sent for postmortem. Police are probing all aspects of the matter.
According to information, this case belongs to Anandi Vihar of Tajganj Police Station in Agra. Sita Devi, who lives here with her two daughters and one son, has been living here for a long time. Sita Devi’s husband works in a nursery and lives in her village. There was a quarrel between the husband and the wife, after which the wife moved to the city and started teaching the children. Children’s education was going well.
Sita Devi’s son Vishnu was the younger of the two daughters and was 12 years old and studying in the fourth standard. Elder sister Payal scolded him for not studying on Saturday morning. Vishnu and Payal had a heated argument. After the argument, Vishnu went into the room and locked the door from inside. Sitadevi was not present in the house when the two siblings quarreled. After about an hour Sita Devi returned from outside and Vishnu did not make a sound when she knocked on the door of the room.
When Sita Devi knocked on the door for a long time and Vishnu did not answer, he became suspicious. He peeked through the side window of the house and saw his son hanging. The ground slipped from under Sita Devi’s feet. She started crying and hearing her voice both her daughters and the neighbors gathered. Vishnu was pulled out of the canal and taken to the hospital. However, Vishnu had died by then. Doctors declared Vishnu dead. The police have sent the child’s body for postmortem.
