Atiq’s wife Shaista is absconding after Umesh Pal’s murder
For more than a year, police and investigative agencies have been conducting continuous raids to arrest Shaista Parveen, wife of fugitive mafia Atiq Ahmed. Now the police have got important information about Shaista. This information has been given to the Prayagraj police by one of Atiq’s special slaves, named Mohammad Shamshad. Recently the police have arrested Shamshad.
According to the information received from the police sources, during the interrogation of Shamshad, the police came to know important things about Shaista. A few months ago a secret meeting of Shaista was to be held in Delhi. Atiq’s slaves took Shamshad in a car to an unknown place near Delhi, where he was to meet Shaista. The context in which this meeting was to take place is not yet clear.
Who is Mohammad Shamshad?
On August 29, police from Purmufti Police Station in Prayagraj arrested Mohammad, a resident of Bailey Police Station Cantt near Ponghat Bridge in Bamaruli. Four bombs were recovered from him. Indeed, the police found some CCTV footage in which Mohammad Shamshad was seen with Mafia Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen, which carried a reward of Rs 50 thousand. He was arrested on the basis of this footage. Shamshad was constantly living secretly in Prayagraj and Pratapgarh. A case has been registered against him under sections 392 and 120/211 of the Explosives Act.

Shaista is on the run after Umesh Pal’s murder
Mafia Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista is absconding after the murder of Umesh Pal, the key witness in the BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case. According to the police dossier, four cases have been registered against Shaista since 2009. One case is of murder and the remaining three are of cheating. All these three cases are in the court of CJM.
Shaista joined AIMIM in 2021. After this she joined BSP in January 2023. He hoped that he would get the mayoral ticket from the BSP. However, after Umesh Pal’s murder, the party distanced itself from Atiq and his family. He is constantly evading the police.
Atiq and Ashraf were killed in Prayagraj
On 24 February 2024, Umesh Pal, the main witness in the Raju Pal murder case, was shot dead in Prayagraj. It was alleged that the crime was committed at the behest of jailed mafia Atiq Ahmed and Bhai Ashraf. Atiq Ahmed was imprisoned in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail. After this incident Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf were brought to Prayagraj. Both the brothers were shot dead on 15 April 2023.
