Sultanpur Robbery Story, ‘Yadav’ Criminal Encounter Sparks Political Uproar

Although the jeweler was spared that day, the man who robbed his shop lost his life in a police encounter six days later. The name of the robber was ‘Mangesh Yadav’. Mangesh’s death has created a political uproar in Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh Yadav while posting on ‘X’ termed the police encounter as fake and said the firing was based on caste. While Akhilesh Yadav, cabinet minister in Yogi government, Om Prakash Rajbhar has replied. He said that if the police did not fire in self-defence, would they shower flowers?

Five criminals carried out the robbery day after day.

The incident of robbery took place in Thatheri market in Nagar Kotwali area of ​​Sultanpur district of UP. Bharat Ji Saraf has a shop called Om Ornaments in the market itself. This is one of the prestigious and big jewelery shops in the city. At 10 am on 28th August, Bhartiji and her son opened their jewelery shop and started working. This is one of the prestigious and big jewelery shops in the city. Like every day people came to the market for shopping. It was around 12 noon. Two customers were also sitting at the bharji shop. The son used to show him the ornaments.

Meanwhile, a miscreant entered the shop with a handkerchief over his face. He immediately pointed his weapon at Bharatji and his son. Seeing this, the father and son sitting at the shop and both the customers were stunned. Before these people realized anything, another rascal came running. He was wearing a helmet and had a black bag in his hand. Soon, three more miscreants entered the shop and ransacked the shop.

Robbery incident caught on CCTV

When Bharatji protested this, one miscreant pointed a pistol at Bharatji and his son and another miscreant pointed a pistol at the two customers, so that they could not make a single sound. Three miscreants started collecting goods from the shop. It can be seen in the CCTV footage of the robbery incident that the miscreants had cleared the entire shop within 4 minutes. The miscreants looted jewelery and cash worth Rs 1 crore 40 lakh. After the robbery, the miscreants escaped on a bike from National Cinema Road. Two miscreants were riding one bike, while three miscreants were riding another bike.

The miscreants came in three groups

The miscreants had already made a complete plan to carry out this robbery. The miscreants had formed three groups. The first group had Pushpendra, Tribhuvan and Sachin. He had prepared the whole plan of robbery. Among them, Tribhuvan also arranged Bolero. After the robbery, the miscreants fled to Rae Bareli with the jewelry in this bolero. The second group consisted of Vipin Singh, Vinay Shukla, Ajay Yadav, Arvindra Yadav, Vivek Singh, Durgesh Singh. They used to provide backup to the criminals who carried out robberies. The third group consisted of Furqan, Anuj Pratap, Arbaaz, Mangesh Yadav and Ankit Yadav. It was they who robbed the shop in broad daylight. Thus, a total of 12 miscreants were involved in this incident.

A reward of Rs 1 lakh each on 12 crooks

While the miscreants challenged the police by looting the market day in and day out, the police were also busy tracking down the miscreants. UP STF was also deployed to hunt the miscreants. Lucknow Zone ADG SB Shiradkar himself was monitoring the case. A week after the incident, the police connected the links of the robbery and revealed the names of not only the five criminals but also the names of 12 criminals who robbed the shop. ADG SB Shirdkar then announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for all 12 miscreants.

Gang leader surrenders in court

According to the police, the leader of the gang involved in the robbery, Vipin Singh, surrendered in another case in a court in Rae Bareli, while three criminals Sachin Singh, Pushpendra Singh and Tribhuvan alias Lala Harijan were arrested and sent to jail after treatment during an encounter at Godwa village in Nagar Kotwali on Tuesday. was On Thursday morning, Mangesh Yadav, who was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh, was shot dead by the UP STF during an encounter in Mishirpur Puraina village of Dehat Kotwali. Mangesh Yadav was a resident of Angoraura in Jaunpur district. Seven cases of theft and robbery have been registered against him.

Looted goods recovered from miscreants

Police have also seized around 15 kg of silver jewellery, cash worth Rs 38,500, a stolen bike, three illegal pistols, three cartridges and six shells from the miscreants. The criminals caught have a long criminal history. Angry bullion traders seem satisfied with the action taken so far by the STF and the local police. They demand that all the criminals involved in the incident be arrested and their belongings recovered.

Here the politics of the encounter have started. SP president Akhilesh Yadav termed the encounter as fake. He said the firing was based on caste. Om Prakash Rajbhar, the cabinet minister in the Yogi government, has hit back at Akhilesh Yadav’s statement. He said if the police do not fire in self-defence, will they shower flowers?
