The Bangladeshi Team Fell Behind Pakistan, Now Badly Washed Out In The T20 World Cup.

The days of Pakistan cricket are going in vain. Be it any format, be it any team, be it any series or tournament, different Pakistan teams are embarrassed on the field. Under Babar Azam’s captaincy, they suffered crushing defeats to teams like Afghanistan and America in last year’s ODI World Cup and this year’s T20 World Cup. If this was not enough, a few weeks ago, under the captaincy of Shan Masood, they suffered a clean sweep in the Test series at the hands of Bangladesh in their own country. Now Pakistan has lost against Bangladesh in women’s cricket too. In the T20 World Cup warm-up match too, Bangladesh easily defeated Pakistan by 23 runs.

First Scotland, now Bangladesh washed it

The Pakistan team suffered a crushing and shocking defeat in their second match in the practice matches ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 starting from October 3 in the UAE. In just 3 days it has lost to two smaller teams. Scotland beat Pakistan by 8 wickets in the first warm-up match on Saturday 28 September. Now, for the second time in 3 days, he was looking for a win. Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 140 runs in this warm-up match held at the ICC Academy in Dubai.

Like the first match, Pakistan’s batting failed miserably in this match as well. In this match, Bangladesh scored 140 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs after batting first. For Bangladesh, only 17-year-old all-rounder Shorna Akhtar scored a quick 28 off just 17 balls, which included 3 fours. He scored the most runs for the team. Apart from that, opener Shati Rani also played an important innings of 23 runs in 16 balls. From Pakistan, Sadia Iqbal took 2 wickets for just 19 runs in 4 overs.

The batting failed miserably

Chasing even a score of 140 runs in women’s T20 cricket is not easy and this proved absolutely true in Pakistan’s case. Pakistan’s batting, which scored only 132 runs when batting first against Scotland, proved to be a failure in this run chase. The entire top order was a complete flop, not only failing to score big but also batting slowly. Omayma Iqbal top-scored with 33 off 33 balls and Pakistan lost their last 4 wickets off just 7 balls to be bowled out for just 117 runs. 4 bowlers took 2-2 wickets for Bangladesh.

Thus, before the start of the tournament, the Pakistani team lost both their practice matches, which is not good news for them in terms of preparations. They now face Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka, who are in superb form, in their first match of the tournament on October 3. Incidentally, Sri Lanka beat Scotland and Bangladesh in both their practice matches.
