Girl dies in road accident

A heartbreaking case has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur. A girl was returning home by school bus. As the bus approached the house, it started to descend, while the driver moved the vehicle forward. The girl fell under the wheels of the bus and died. The girl’s family members are in a bad condition and are crying. After the accident, the driver fled from the spot. Police have registered a case and started investigation.

The incident took place in Daulat Nagar of Campierganj Police Station area of ​​Gorakhpur. Soumya, the five-year-old daughter of Akhilesh Yadav, a resident of Chikni village, studies in RS International Public School. She was a student of nursery class. Police are looking for the driver.

What is the matter?

When Soumya reached her home after school, the driver called her ahead and she stood at the gate of the bus. As the bus pulled up and started to descend, the driver pushed the bus forward without looking. Due to which the girl staggered and fell down. The children traveling in the school bus raised the alarm, but the driver paid no heed. Meanwhile, Soumya died as she fell under the wheels of the bus.

The driver fled from the spot

On seeing the incident, people around tried to catch the driver, but he left the bus and ran away. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and are trying to nab the driver by collecting information from the school students.

What did the SP say?

SP North Jitendra Srivastav said that a case has been registered against the driver on the complaint of Soumya’s mother Mamata Yadav. Police are looking for him. He will be arrested soon.

Questions raised on school

After this incident, many questions are being raised on the school, they say that the school provides the bus facility for the greed of money. But there is no check on the condition of the driver and the bus. According to the rules, any bus carrying children must have School Bus written on the front and back. Also, first aid box is also required in buses. There was no attendant except the driver in the bus in which the incident took place.

SSP said

SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover said the police spoke to school administrators and principals and informed them about the rules. It is important that children’s lives should not be played with under any circumstances. Action is also taken when complaints are received. He said that a campaign would be launched soon and action would be taken against the drivers for their faults.
