A unique theft case has come to light in Jharkhand’s Sahibganj district where three bike-borne thieves tried to steal a Bajrangbali idol from inside a temple. As soon as the priest of the temple came to know that the idol was stolen, he informed the villagers. The villagers thwarted the theft by creating a blockade. The villagers caught one of the three thieves and tied them to an electric pole. Another thief has also been arrested. Currently, the search for the third thief is on.

This incident of tampering with faith and stealing the eight metal idol of Bajrangbali by breaking into the temple on the pretext of worship took place in Sotichoki Khuthari of Jirwabari police station area of ​​the district. On Saturday morning, Ram Mandir priest Bharat Lal Mandal came to open the temple doors. Meanwhile, three youths reached the temple on a motorcycle. One of these youth entered the temple on the pretext of worship. The man had stolen the idol of Bajrangbali made of Ashtadhatu.

While the first companion was stealing, his second companion was busy talking to the temple priest. While the third companion started the motorcycle and sat on the car. When the three youths started leaving, the temple priest became suspicious of their actions. He finds that the idol of Bajrangbali has been stolen from the temple. By the time the priest came to know about this, the three youths started the bike and started running away. After this, the priest of the temple urgently called the villagers.

After the temple priest raised the alarm, the villagers chased the thieves and laid siege to catch them. The villagers surrounded the three thieves but the two thieves freed themselves from the clutches of the villagers and ran away. When a thief was caught by the villagers. Enraged villagers tied the accused youth to an electric pole and informed the police. The youth who was caught by the villagers and taken into police custody has been identified as Samar Ali.

Another thief involved in the crime has also been arrested from Chandipur village of Tinpahar police station. The second thief caught has been identified as Saurabh Kumar Mandal. The police of Tinpahar police station have handed over to Jirwabari police station. While the third thief is currently out of police custody.
