In this report, the dark truth of the film industry has been exposed to the world, on which Swara has given her reaction. Reacting to the committee’s report, he termed the industry as male-centric.

Swara posted about this on Instagram. He said in the post that not only Malayalam but also Bollywood is in his grip. Swara wrote in the post, “I finally got a chance to read the Hema committee report. First of all, I would like to thank the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) who continue to speak out against violence and exploitation of women.

Swara shared her experience

Swara further wrote in her post that the report of the committee is heart touching. Sharing his experience in the post, he wrote, “I have seen it all very closely. This is why reading the report broke my heart. Although the details of the events in my case may be different, the details may be different, but I am well aware of all this.” After reading the report, Swara praised the women of the Malayalam film industry who raised their voice against abusers.

Swara has demanded the formation of a special committee to investigate the circumstances of the women who testified in the report. They are also asked to suggest solutions. Swara made it clear in the post that if you lie in showbiz, you may have to pay a heavy price. Hema’s report was published on 19 August. The 296-page report has many revelations about the Malayalam film industry. Many women in the industry have also testified in this. Women have spoken about casting couches and sexual harassment. Women told how directors, producers and actors asked them to be intimate.
