These are the companies that have secured eligible capacity for incentives under the second tranche of the Strategic Intervention for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) scheme for manufacturing electrolysers in the country, people familiar with the development said. 13 companies have been selected (shortlisted) to receive subsidy under this. This means that now these 13 companies will receive subsidies from the government.

SIGHT is a financial programme under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, with a total outlay of Rs 17,490 crore for construction of electrolysers and production of green hydrogen. The allocation for the second tranche has been fixed at Rs 2,200 crore. Growing interest Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) had received bids from 23 companies for 2,847 MW against the proposed capacity of 1,500 MW in different technology-based categories.
